Football United is in a unique position in terms of the personnel at their fingertips. Coaches at Football United are highly qualified and motivated. Most are from the local community where they live and have shared experiences to those who they coach. They care. They coach to inspire, so one day the same children that have been coached are able to contribute to their community themselves. It is this sustainable football development that stands communities in good stead to maintain a sustainable community life as well.

Curriculum

Football United use Football Federation Australia's coaching structure and are commited to providing appropriate coaching accreditation to participants. All of our Volunteer Coaches have completed their Grassroots Football Certificate. Assistant Coaches must complete the Junior Football License. Coaching is coordinated by Football United's Director of Football, Aytek Genc.

Monthly Coaches Meeting

Every month Football United Coaches, Volunteers and Youth Leaders congregate to discuss their recent coaching sessions and to share ideas, insight and opportunities with each other. In 2011 meetings included risk assessment workshops and presentations from professional coaches and members of the football community. In September 2011 FFA Technical Director, Han Berger, hosted a Q+A Forum with a cohort of coaches at FFA Headquarters in Darlinghurst. Check out the video below.
